Signatures in Outlook are a pain in the butt, for a number of reasons. Mainly, the irritation comes when as you tell someone how to set it up, you learn that they have a different version of Outlook than you thought they had. Why Microsoft keeps changing things around in Outlook is beyond me. Just to keep IT staff on the brink of a nervous breakdown, I suppose.

The second most irritating item in Outlook’s signature is line breaks. Why is it that MSFT allows for users to make a hard return, which when an email gets replied to or forwarded or whatever, the Signature breaks into double spacing and looks horrid.

Solve this problem by using soft returns (Shift-Enter) at the end of every line and it’ll never happen.
