(This how-to will work for almost any driver installation in Windows XP.)

1. Open Device Manager by right clicking on my computer and choosing Properties. Go to the Hardware tab and click Device Manager.
2. In Device Manager, right click on the Ethernet Controller and choose Properties.
3. Click on Reinstall Driver and click OK.
4. Choose Install from a Specific Location. Click Next.
5. Click Include this Location in the Search. Click Browse and locate and click on the folder in which the driver resides on the floppy, USB key, network drive or CD. The OK box will become active at this point. Click on it.
6. Click Next and Windows will install the driver. Click Finish when the installation is completed. At this point the Ethernet Card will show up under Network Adapters (photo left).
