It's patch Tuesday! (Similar to Options Friday! Or whatever else signals volatility in the systems that run our worlds.) The 2nd Tuesday of the month means it's time for Microsoft to unleash its latest security and, shall we say, compliance updates. This time the updates, all 12 of them, are to solve, among other things, critical security issues (8), and, in order to comply with a ruling that went against them, the way that Internet Explorer handles ActiveX controls.

Oh and for those into the Left Behind series, please add Windows 98 and Windows ME to your list. The boys and girls in Redmond have decided to not deliver updates to protect the operating systems from a known vulnerability, almost a month before "official" support is set to run out. Toodles!
